Replica 1966 Ford Shelby Cobra Roadster Coupe
VIN: SW121031PA
This 1966 Shelby Cobra Roadster replica was assembled from a B&B Manufacturing kit starting in 2005 by the original owner in Pennsylvania, and it was subsequently purchased by the seller in 2020. Power is supplied by a carbureted 351ci V8 Ford Windsor mated to a Ford four-speed manual transmission. Other features include 16″ American Racing wheels, four-point seatbelts, and a welded tube frame. This B&B Cobra kit car is now offered with service records and invoices dating back to 2005, a B&B Manufacturing statement of origin, build documentation, and a clean Delaware title in the seller's name that lists the car as a replica vehicle.
The fiberglass replica body was hand laid by B&B at their facility in Missouri, and subsequently was painted in two-stage metallic silver flake. Numerous paint chips from rock damage are noted, along with spider cracking on the right front fender and around the roll hoop.
Exterior features include a driver-side roll hoop, and dual side-exit exhausts.
Staggered-width 16″ American Racing wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 235/60 in front and 275/60 at the rear. Disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, and the car is equipped with Mustang II front and rear suspension components.
Low-back bucket seats are upholstered in black and feature four-point Simpson harnesses. A fire extinguisher is mounted between the seats.
A spoked steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm odometer, and water and oil temp gauges, and other guages. The five-digit mechanical odometer displays just over miles, approximately 4k of which have been added by the seller. The shifter is fitted with a white Hurst knob.
A Ford Windsor 351ci V8 crate engine sends power to the rear wheels through a Ford four-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end.
